How it all started

​

Ambur James was born and raised on the East side of Indianapolis and had 3 siblings.  From an early age, her friends and family knew she was destined to be an entertainer. Her first performance was at a family talent show where she was the hit of the show and she’s been in the spotlight ever since.  In addition to comedy,

 

Ambur enjoys interior design and is also a licensed cosmetologist. Paparazzi Ready is her brand.  Her mom, who has worked at the post office for over 30 years, is her hero and taught her that hard work pays off. Single moms are a strong passion of hers, and she has plans to contribute to uplifting them in her future.

Ambur has worked with comedians such as Michael Colyer, Earthquake, Bill Bellamy, Melanie Comarcho, Red Grant, Amanda Seales, & Mike Epps, and many more.  You can catch her on stage hosting, or performing on a regular basis and performs in her hometown as well as all over the country.  Ambur is also a visual artist, fierce entrepreneur and not to be underestimated!

 She'd one day like to be mentioned one of the Queens of Comedy.
